The first session of the new term!

We were all pleased to return to the Schools' Garden on 24th April, 2009, and the sun was shining. Most club members returned, and there were a few new families, who were warmly welcomed. Children and adults busily planted potatoes, sorted out the small pond, set up a wormery, potted on small plants and wrote in journals. We really liked the new fencing around the garden.

Harvesting beans in August 2007

The beans grew well and we enjoyed harvesting and then cooking and eating our beans. The Gardening Club was started at the end of the Summer term and some children came through the weeks of the Summer Holidays to help keep the Garden growing well.

Schools' Garden at Cambridge University Botanic Garden

In April 2007 the four vegetable plots were planted up. First with beans and sunflowers, followed by potatoes, courgettes, peas, more beans, pumpkins, tomatoes and sweet corn. The pupils from St. Paul's school helped sow the seeds and then plant out the plants.
